PlayStation Plus January Catalog Update
Sony has revealed the latest batch of titles heading to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog this month. As usual, the mid-month refresh brings a mix of AAA hits, indie favorites, and genre variety for Extra and Premium subscribers.
The new additions will become available starting January 20.
PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium Games – January Additions
This month’s selection is led by several high-profile titles across different genres:
- Resident Evil Village (PS4, PS5)
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS4, PS5)
- Expeditions: A MudRunner Game (PS4, PS5)
- A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead (PS5)
- Darkest Dungeon II (PS4, PS5)
- The Exit 8 (PS4, PS5)
- Art of Rally (PS4, PS5)
- A Little to the Left (PS4, PS5)
The lineup offers a strong mix of survival horror, RPG action, simulation, strategy, racing, and indie puzzle experiences.
Resident Evil Village stands out as one of the biggest additions, bringing Capcom’s acclaimed survival horror sequel to subscribers. Meanwhile, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth adds a massive RPG adventure packed with cinematic storytelling and over-the-top combat.
Fans of strategic and slower-paced experiences can dive into Darkest Dungeon II, while simulation enthusiasts get Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. Indie highlights like The Exit 8 and A Little to the Left round out the selection with unique gameplay concepts.
Premium Classics: Ridge Racer Returns
For PlayStation Plus Premium members, Sony is also adding a nostalgic favorite to the Classics Catalog.
The original Ridge Racer joins the service, offering arcade-style racing that defined an era of early PlayStation gaming. It’s a welcome addition for longtime fans of classic racing titles.
Games Leaving PlayStation Plus on January 20
As new games enter the catalog, several titles will be removed from the service on the same date:
- Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (PS4, PS5)
- SD Gundam Battle Alliance (PS4, PS5)
- Sayonara Wild Hearts (PS4, PS5)
- Monopoly Plus (PS4, PS5)
Subscribers interested in these games may want to start or finish them before they leave the library.
A Balanced Monthly Update
January’s PlayStation Plus refresh delivers a solid balance between blockbuster titles and creative indie projects. With horror, RPGs, racing, and simulation all represented, the catalog update offers something for nearly every type of player.
More updates are expected later in the month as Sony continues its regular PlayStation Plus rotation cycle.
