REANIMAL Will Support Friend’s Pass — Only One Copy Needed for Co-Op

Tarsier Studios has confirmed that its upcoming horror adventure REANIMAL will feature a Friend’s Pass system, allowing two players to experience the game together using just a single purchased copy.

The studio says more details about the feature will be shared in the coming weeks, but the concept is already familiar to many co-op fans.

How the Friend’s Pass System Works

While full specifics haven’t been revealed yet, the system is expected to function similarly to the one seen in titles from Hazelight Studios, such as It Takes Two and Split Fiction.

In practice, this means:

  • One player owns the game
  • The second player downloads a special free version
  • Both can play through the entire adventure together

This approach removes the financial barrier for co-op play and makes it easier to invite friends into the experience.

A Horror Adventure Built for Two

REANIMAL is designed primarily as a two-player cooperative horror experience. Players take on the roles of a brother and sister navigating a nightmarish world in search of their missing friends.

According to the official description, players will:

  • Explore a terrifying island setting
  • Survive both land and water segments
  • Solve environmental challenges
  • Work together to uncover dark secrets

Solo Mode Also Available

REANIMAL launches on February 13 for:

A playable demo is already available across all platforms. The game will also include full Russian voice-over support.
