1348 Ex Voto Launches March 12

The narrative-driven action adventure 1348 Ex Voto now has an official release date. Developer Sedleo confirmed that the game will launch on March 12, alongside a newly released cinematic trailer.

Set in 14th-century Italy, the title blends historical turmoil with personal drama and grounded sword combat.

A Plague-Ridden Medieval Italy

The story unfolds during one of the darkest periods in European history. As the Black Death spreads across Italy and political instability fractures the region, cities and rural areas alike fall into chaos.

Bandits, mercenaries, and religious extremists roam freely, taking advantage of the collapsing order.

Players step into the role of Aeta, a determined noblewoman who embarks on a dangerous journey to find her missing close friend. Her quest takes her across medieval villages, fortified castles, mountain landscapes, and ancient Roman ruins.

Combat Inspired by Real Fencing

Sedleo promises a combat system rooted in realistic medieval swordsmanship. Motion capture sessions were conducted with specially trained performers to deliver authentic blade movements.

Key features include:

  • Seamless switching between one-handed and two-handed stances
  • A combo system unlocked through collectible combat manuals
  • Customization options that allow players to tailor Aeta’s fighting style using weapon components

The focus appears to be on deliberate, tactical duels rather than purely arcade-style action.

The previously planned Xbox Series version has been canceled. According to the developers, this decision was made to ensure the best possible experience on the remaining platforms.
